The guys played football on the beach while waiting for the ceremony to begin (a benefit of getting married in Hawaii!).
Ceremony
Our wedding coordinator loaned us extra white parasols that another bride had left with her. The turquoise Mahalo parasol was loaned to me by the Hawaii Knotties, and promptly sent on to the next Hawaii bride.
Reception Dinner
I used pink mokara orchids and Israeli ruscus in aqua mason jars as centerpieces.
We sat in "the Point" - an area with a 270 degree view and windows that open to the beach below.
Details
I added my something old to my bouquet - a 100 year-old stick pin that used to belong to my husband's great-grandfather.
We purchased my bouquet, but we DIY-ed my bridesmaids' bouquets. Both turned out just as I'd hoped.
I wore b.p. sandals from Nordstrom with hot pink toenails.
I adored my pretty cake. It tasted good too. We had lemon cake with chantilly filling on the bottom and carrot cake with cream cheese filling on top.
My bracelet and earrings were purchased from Etsy seller Noaki. My necklace was my something borrowed.
After-dinner Get-together
After the special dances, I changed into a cotton sundress to stay cooler, which I wore while cutting the cake. We served cake plus three different types of cream pie (from S&J Bakery sold at Times Supermarket in Kihei), and fresh-cut pineapple, as well as our version of pineapple rum punch.
